Description
Walking along the street in Vernazza you may come across this dark and narrow stairway with the colorful spot of light way off up in the distance and then notice the sign pointing to Monterosso. It is the beginning of the climb to the paths that meander through the terraced hillsides on the Cinque Terre region. These paths provide the slowest and best mode of transportation between the five villages that make up Cinque Terre.
