This is just another wet spot on the side of highway 101 where it runs alongside Crescent Lake on the Olympic Peninsula but this one is made special by the shaft of sunlight that illuminates the greenery that clings to every available surface not pressure washed by the cascading waters. I managed to capture this image during a heavy rain with logging trucks racing by about 5 feet away from my camera. Needless to say heavy raingear is required for both photographers and cameras during this type of shoot.
