There are many ways to recognize the Musk Bull in a herd of elephants. My guide at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge for this trip was Charles Brightman. Charles tells me that the "tears" right behind eye are an obvious sign from a distance. The "tears" are dripping from a musk gland just between the eye and ear opening. The bull is also dripping musk from the other end if you need a sign when they are walking away. Beyond those physiological signs there is the obvious attitude and body language of a dominant male who has fought off all competition and earned the right to breed again this year...,you got a problem with that? You'll have to take it up with him. Thanks Charles Brightman for getting me there...and back.
