Bridge of Sighs BW Canvas Print

The bridge of Sighs passes over the Rio di Palazzo and connects the New Prison to the interrogation rooms in the Doge's Palace. It was the path taken by prisoners as they left the interrogation rooms on their way to prison. The view through the windows was the last view of Venice that many of them ever saw.
